Our second episode Startup of the Year Podcast was produced during the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with the theme of startups from the Startup of the Year program that showcased at CES 2019. Host Frank Gruber is joined by co-hosts Rich Maloy, and Lori Thiel from the Established and Startup of the Year team and special guest Eric Matthews from Start Co an accelerator based in Memphis, Tennessee as they cram into a Tiny House in Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh’s Airstream Village downtown Las Vegas.
The four startups discussed were all at CES 2019 and part of the Startup of the Year program in the past, and so each co-host dives deeper into one of these startups with an update:
- Buoy Labs - Santa Cruz, CA
- Bartesian - Ontario, Canada
- Lifeina - Paris, France
- GoSun - Cincinnati, OH
Listen in as these four growing, early-stage companies are discussed in great detail. The team also discusses CES and shares some insights for entrepreneurs and startup founders looking to push their startup or idea forward. Find out which startups discussed are raising funding rounds, which companies have the most traction, and what these companies have planned in the year ahead. Llamas, big brands at CES, Tiny House living, and banana stands may have also been discussed on this episode, but you’ll have to tune in to find out.
