The Startup of the Year team is back from a whirlwind week that saw them popping up everywhere from the inaugural InnoConf in New Orleans to Las Vegas’ SALT Conference to Florida and Puerto Rico for Revolution's Rise of the Rest Road Trip with Steve Case. In this episode, host Frank Gruber talks with the AOL founder about what he gleaned from those latest tour stops, as well as Rise of the Rest’s overall mission to be a catalyst for those entrepreneurs and startups that aren’t getting attention from mainstream media and coastal venture capitalists. Or, as Steve put it, “to throw a little more kerosene on those fires, so they burn a little brighter and a little faster than they might have otherwise done."
Then, Frank is joined by his co-hosts Jen Consalvo, Rich Maloy, and Lori Thiel to discuss the respective winners of the Orlando, Space Coast, Tampa, Miami, and Puerto Rico pitch competitions: AireHealth, Atomos, Immertec, Xendoo, and Abartys Health.
